Duplex / Super Duplex information
This range of stainless grades combines many of the properties of both Austenitic and Ferritic stainless steels. The high strength and excellent corrosion resistance in demanding conditions, has continued to make this group of steels ideal for many applications.
UNS 31803 (F51): This grade is a very popular and successful alternative to standard stainless steel specifications in applications where higher strength and resistance to stress corrosion cracking is required. It is widely used in power generation, marine, petrochemical, chemical and general engineering industries. Typical applications include fasteners, flanges, bushes and shafts.
UNS 32760 (F55): This material has high mechanical strength and outstanding corrosion resistance especially in marine applications. It is therefore regarded as an extremely strong option in place of the traditional stainless 300 series and often in lieu of Nickel Alloy grades.
UNS 32750 (F53): With its excellent corrosion resistance in a variety of conditions, this material is particularly favoured in marine applications as it offers outstanding resistance to pitting and corrosion. With a low coefficient of thermal expansion and higher heat conductivity over austenitic steels, it is suitable for working temperatures of up to 300 degrees centigrade.
Typical Supply Sizes
